Condo Photo Review: Hillview Regency

Condo Photo Review: Hillview Regency

Hillview Regency is located in Bukit Batok. To some it might be a place deep in the heartlands of Singapore far away from the city but to those who take time to smell the flowers, it couldn’t be a better place to live.

Surrounded by at least 3 major parks and close to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, it is a dream come true to those who always wanted to take their family for quick weekend hikes or bicycle trips and bask in natures glory. Amenities wise, there aren’t a whole lot of shopping centres with the exception of West Mall. But who needs these when you have Mother Nature as your backyard.

The 99yr leasehold condominium finished in 2005 itself is fronted by a number of HDB flats, and landed terraces on its northern front. With 572 units, it is packed with standard facilities and a multi storey car park. While we loved the idea of being close to nature, we wished that there could have been more emphasis on balconies to take advantage of the environment.

Some photos we took of the estate:
The pool isn’t huge, but is decent.

Another shot of the poolside, a kid’s slide and a splash pool can be seen in the middle.

The larger and more serious pool. Deckchairs can be seen along the pool deck.

We weren’t exactly sure what the railings were for, but suspected something along the lines of aqua aerobics.

Two large tennis courts should be sufficient for 572 units of residents...or is it?

Chillout area with nice shades and chairs.

One of those “torture your feet” devices, although one of our colleagues swears by it.

A pretty standard looking kids playground for them to release all that stored energy.

Shaded area outside the clubhouse, perhaps perfect for your small functions?

Fully equipped BBQ pavilions – washing sinks and all.

Another shot of the BBQ pavilions, could have been better with more seating options though.

Shot of the gym equipment found within the clubhouse.

Small pool table for a quick game.

The clubhouse lounge is pretty decent, but very old school.

Outdoor parking lots for those who prefer them over the multi storey car park.

The multi storey car park – looks sufficient for all its residents.

We wished there could have been some balconies for the residents to enjoy the wonderful nature surrounding it.

Parting shot of the estate, guardhouse and entrance seen in the photo.
