The Belle Vue is being launched by Wing Tai, a prominent property developer in Singapore. This raises eyebrows as Belle Vue is a luxury project being launched in a property market that has just barely shown signs of "green shoots". But perhaps Wing Tai might be right, there could be some pent up demand in the luxury market after more than a year of lull.
Name: Belle Vue (District 9)
Range: Luxury
Location: 15 Oxley Walk
Tenure: Freehold
TOP: 2011
Units: 176
Comments: Award Winning Architect Toyo Ito, Lap Pool, Jacuzzi, Children’s Pool, Playground, BBQ, Clubhouse, Gym, Steam Room, Sauna, Theatrette.
The condominium itself is located on Oxley Walk. A couple of prominent Singaporeans are known to reside in this quiet but established part of District 9. The compound is large at over 248,000 square feet of land. 3 and 4 room units are the most common although limited number of 2 room apartments are available. Individual size of units are large - a 3 room unit ranges between 1,765-3,477 squarefoot on average.
The unit layout is inspired by tree branches to formulate an organic layout - creating privacy and space through clever design. Although the highest unit is 5 storeys high, it is the feeling of being close to the ground and next to nature that makes it special. Those who are familiar with the ever popular but aging Maplewoods condominium along Bukit Timah road will know, as it is the same developer, Wing Tai, that is once again bringing the unique feel - only this time in an ultra prestigious area in Singapore.
Note however that you have to be prepared to part with approximately a cool $3-4million to appreciate Toyo Ito's next work of art considering the starting price is touted to begin at approximately $1,600 per square foot. Notably, some units have already been snapped up through overseas sales at over $2,000 per square foot.
We are not posting any pictures of the show flat or internal renderings, as we feel it does no justice to the real thing. Go down and take a look yourself!
