B Eng (Honours) Aerospace Systems

B Eng (Honours) Aerospace Systems
Giving you a Lift-off in your Aerospace Career

Overview

With a wide spectrum of courses in avionics, management, and structures, the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Aerospace Systems (BEHAS) offers a holistic programme to potential applicants who are interested in enhancing their technological knowledge, skills and understanding of the aerospace and aviation industries, as well as an opportunity to fulfill their dreams of becoming an aerospace systems engineer. The multi-disciplinary framework emphasises depth as well as breadth to ensure that the curriculum builds a strong foundation for graduates aspiring for a successful career in various areas of aerospace systems engineering.

Why Are We Unique?
Working professionals can upgrade without compromising the pursuance of their careers because all of our classes are held in the evenings and over the weekends at SIM University (UniSIM). In fact, a unique feature of UniSIM programmes is that what the students learnt in class in the evening can be immediately applied at work the very next day! This is possible because our courses are practical and industry relevant for all professionals.

Partnership with a Renowned International Academic Institution
Students can look forward to an enriching programme that draws courses and expertise from Cranfield University (CU), an international academic institution that is established in Aerospace and Aviation programmes. One distinct feature of the close collaboration is the one-week study visit* to the institution where students take to the air in sorties to understand aircraft performance and flight evaluation. Other highlights will be lectures and simulated drills in accident and emergency handling, accident investigation, wind tunnel and bird strike tests. Students graduating from this programme will gain an experience second to none and have a global perspective of the aerospace and aviation.
* Students will have to bear the cost of transportation and lodging at the Cranfield facilities.

Collaborations with Local Industry-Partners
Apart from partnering with international institutions, UniSIM is engaging local partners like the Singapore Polytechnic, The Republic of Singapore Air Force, the ST Aerospace, and the Hawker Pacific to provide a platform for their participation in ensuring an industry-relevant curriculum that will meet the manpower needs of the Singapore Aviation Hub.

Fast Track Articulation for Polytechnic Graduates
A thru’-train progression path is specially designed for students who have excelled in their diploma studies, specializing in an aerospace engineering diploma. Students who are eligible for this programme can complete the BEHAS programme within 2 years after enrolment!
