Here's what Southbank's site looked like before Eng Cheong Tower was even built. There used to be some old buildings at the south end of Crawford Bridge (with curved arches) some 60 to 70 years ago.
In case someone feels like asking, no, I did not take these pictures myself cos I'm not really that old.
